Terms of Service
Effective October 19, 2026
The short version
- Try it free for 7 days, no card needed. After that, a plan renews monthly or yearly until you cancel.
- Cancel any time in Settings › Plan & billing; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Your books, reports and content stay yours.
- Our numbers come from the reports you connect and can be incomplete or delayed. Your stores’ own statements are the official record.
- Questions: hello@authorcommandhq.com.
1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and CVEP, LLC (“we”, “us”) for AuthorCommandHQ: the website, the app and the AuthorCommandHQ Helper for Chrome (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for a company or publisher, you agree for that organization and confirm you can bind it.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You sign in with a Microsoft (or GitHub) account. Keep it secure; you’re responsible for activity in your AuthorCommandHQ account, including by team members you invite.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. One person or organization per account.
3. Free trial, plans and payment
- Free trial. New accounts get a 7-day free trial without a card. When it ends, you choose a plan to keep using the Service; your data is kept.
- Plans and prices are shown on our Pricing page in US dollars. Yearly plans are billed once a year.
- Automatic renewal. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and the card on file is charged, until you cancel. If you choose a plan during your free trial, your first charge happens when the trial would have ended.
- Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe’s terms. Prices don’t include taxes; where taxes apply, they’re added.
- Changing plans. You can switch plans in Settings › Plan & billing. After the free trial, Stripe shows the price difference (credited or charged) before you confirm.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, we’ll ask you to update your card. If it isn’t fixed, we may pause or end your plan.
- Price changes. We’ll tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects your plan. The new price applies from your next renewal; you can cancel before then.
4. Cancelling and refunds
Cancel any time in Settings › Plan & billing › Manage billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for and then stops; you won’t be charged again. Payments are not refundable for partial periods, except where the law requires it. If something went wrong, email us; we’ll look at it fairly.
5. Your content and data
- It’s yours. You keep all rights to your books, covers, photos, reports and anything you add or create (“Your Content”).
- Permission to run the Service. You let us store, copy, process and display Your Content only as needed to provide and improve the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. This permission ends when Your Content is deleted from the Service, except for copies we must keep by law or that remain for a short time in backups.
- Your rights to connect. You confirm you have the right to the content you add, and to connect each store and ad account you connect (for example Amazon KDP, ACX, Meta or Unbounce), and that you’ll follow those services’ terms.
6. Connected services and the Chrome Helper
- The Service works with third-party services such as Amazon KDP, Audible/ACX, Draft2Digital, IngramSpark, Meta, Unbounce and Stripe. We’re not affiliated with or endorsed by them. They can change or stop their reports, pages or access, which may affect the Service.
- The Chrome Helper reads report pages in your browser using your existing sign-in, only when you sync or set it up. You choose which stores to connect and can disconnect at any time.
- We’re not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or what they do with your information under their own terms.
7. Numbers, suggestions and AI
- Royalties, sales, ad results and the links between ads and books come from the reports and services you connect. They can be incomplete, delayed or estimated. Your stores’ and platforms’ own statements and payments are the official record.
- Suggestions, briefs and AI-written text (posts, emails, book details) are generated automatically and can be wrong. Review them before you rely on them or publish them. You’re responsible for what you publish.
- Nothing in the Service is financial, tax, accounting or legal advice.
8. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the Service. For example, don’t: break the law or anyone’s rights; access accounts or data that aren’t yours; try to get around security, limits or billing; overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service; upload malware; use it to send spam or deceptive content; or resell it without our written permission.
9. Our Service
- We own the Service, its software, design and the AuthorCommandHQ name and logo. These terms don’t give you rights to them, other than to use the Service as allowed here.
- If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
- We keep improving the Service and may add, change or remove features. If we remove something important to a paid plan, we’ll tell you in advance.
- We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but it may sometimes be down for maintenance or reasons outside our control.
10. Suspension and ending
You can stop using the Service and cancel your plan at any time, and ask us to delete your data. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, don’t pay, or if we must for legal reasons; where reasonable, we’ll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it and to export your data. If we stop offering the Service entirely, we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice and refund any prepaid fees for the unused period.
11. Disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the Service will increase your sales or that it will be error-free.
12. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, CVEP, LLC won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, royalties, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $100 if that’s more). Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
13. Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of Your Content, the accounts you connect or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, to the extent the law allows.
14. Disputes and governing law
If you have a problem, please email us first; most issues can be solved quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that we can’t resolve informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws where you live.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date, and for significant changes we’ll tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, you can cancel.
16. General
These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about the Service. If part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. You can’t transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them with our business. Notices to us go to hello@authorcommandhq.com; notices to you go to the email on your account.
